JuriSee is an independent nonpartisan news organization that relies on memberships and donations to run. We do not sell or trade your personal information.
JuriSee does not collect personally identifying information, except that which you have chosen to provide. If you:
• subscribe using our free tier, we have the email and any chosen name you have provided
• subscribe while also choosing to help support our work with a paid membership then we have access to some of information you provide (email, last 4 digits of card number, the origin and card owner name)
• choose to make a one-time donation then we have access to some of information you provide (email, last 4 digits of card number, the origin and card owner name)
JuriSee does collect engagement data about activity on our site that helps us improve our content. For example, we collect data on how often readers are viewing a post, or how often a newsletter is read by our members.
JuriSee does not use cookies designed to track your activity after visiting our site. However, a cookie is used to enable member authentication and access to content that requires a subscription to read.
Third Party Providers
As a small, newly emerging publication, we have chosen to have our public site powered on Ghost. Ghost is a non-profit, open source, publishing platform for independent news organizations and content providers. By choosing to use Ghost, our privacy policy is also dependent in some parts to Ghost.org and its chosen third party integrations.
Ghost
Membership data and site analytics are independent from Ghost, and managed by JuriSee (see above). However, just due to the way that the internet works itself, the Ghost platform collects IPs, and by extension general geo-location information.
Stripe
Membership and donor payments are processed using Stripe, and the payment information is beholden to Stripe’s Privacy Policy (https://stripe.com/privacy).
Mailgun
Ghost uses Mailgun to run the newsletter services. Your email address, and the subject and content of the newsletter emails you receive from JuriSee is viewable by Mailgun. See their policy for more details (https://www.mailgun.com/legal/privacy-policy/)
